Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
2023 WAS A GOOD YEAR FOR THE JIANG FAMILY FOUNDATION. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING CLOSELY WITH THE LOCAL RED APPLE LEARNING CENTER AFTER SCHOOL DURING THE PAST FEW YEARS,VOLUNTEERING TO HELP THEM TO DESIGN COURSES, AND PROVIDE SAFER TRANSPORTATION FOR KIDS GOING FROM THEIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TO THE AFTER SCHOOL SITE.
IN 2021 WE STARTED A NEW PROJECT AT DURHAM ACADEMY (DA), WHICH IS A TOP K-12 SCHOOL IN NORTH CAROLINA. WE ARE REALLY EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO COLLABORATE WITH DURHAM ACADEMY MIDDLE SCHOOL FACULTIES TO ADVANCE THEIR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART AND MATH (STEAM) EDUCATION PROGRAMS. WE SPONSORED UNIQUE AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES TO PROVIDE ALL 5TH TO 8TH GRADE STUDENTS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND ROBOTICS AND COMPUTERS.DANIEL PERSONALLY TAUGHT ALONGSIDE DA FACULTIES EVERY WEEK DURING THE SPRING AND FALL SEMESTER IN 2023, WHICH GREATLY ENHANCED THE QUALITY OF THE CLASSES BECAUSE OF DANIEL'S LONG PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN THE HIGH TECH INDUSTRY. IN ADDITION THROUGH THE DIRECT INTERACTIONS WITH DA STUDENTS, DANIEL LEARNED FIRST HAND WHAT PROGRAMS AND COURSES THEY NEED SO OUR FOUNDATION CAN WORK WITH THE LOCAL SCHOOLS WE SPONSOR TO BETTER DESIGN THEIR PROGRAMS.
IN SUMMARY, 2023 WAS A BIG YEAR FOR THE JIANG FAMILY FOUNDATION. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD SINCE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FOUNDATION IN 2015 TO LEARN HOW TO WORK WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS, TO IMPROVE THEIR EXISTING STEAM PROGRAMS AND TO SPONSOR NEW PROGRAMS. MORE AND MORE WE PERSONALLY PARTICIPATED IN THE TEACHING OF THE PROGRAMS,WHICH WAS TREMENDOUSLY REWARDING TO US.
