IN RESPONSE TO THE NEED TO ADDRESS CAMPER AND STAFF MENTAL HEALTH, NO SHAME ON U PROVIDED MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING TO SUMMER CAMP STAFF. STAFF LEARNED ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH RISK FACTORS AND WARNING SIGNS, AND LEFT THE SESSIONS EMPOWERED TO CREATE A POSITIVE AND CARING CAMP ENVIRONMENT AND THE ABILITY TO REDUCE THEIR OWN STRESS. NO SHAME ON U'S TEEN AMBASSADOR PROGRAM IS AN IMMERSIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM THAT EDUCATES JEWISH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND EMPOWERS THEM TO SPREAD AWARENESS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COMMUNITIES. NO SHAME ON U TEEN PROGRAMMING REACHED OVER 985 PARTICIPANTS.
VIRTUAL MINDFUL YOGA: NO SHAME ON U HELD VIRTUAL MINDFUL YOGA SESSIONS, A WEEKLY 30 MINUTE YOGA CLASS WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON MENTAL WELLBEING AND MINDFULNESS. WITH THE GOAL OF CALMING THE MIND AND STRENGTHENING THE BODY, REGULAR YOGA PRACTICE IS AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO MANAGE STRESS, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION SYMPTOMS. THERE WERE MORE THAN 540 PARTICIPANTS.
NO SHAME ON U CONDUCTS REGULARLY OCCURRING MEETINGS IN WHICH PEOPLE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS OR LIFE TRANSITIONS COME TOGETHER TO SHARE PERSONAL EXPERIENCES AND COPING STRATEGIES. WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF A PROFESSIONAL, EACH GROUP HAS A DIFFERENT FOCUS. THERE WERE OVER 170 PARTICIPANTS.
GENERAL PROGRAMS: NO SHAME ON U REACHES OUT TO THE COMMUNITY IN VARIED WAYS. THROUGH A COMBINATION OF WORKSHOPS, FACILITATED DISCUSSIONS, COMMUNITY EVENTS, AND CLASSES, NO SHAME ON U REACHED OVER 6200 PEOPLE TO RAISE AWARENESS, EDUCATE, AND PROVIDE STRATEGIES FOR COPING, ALL WITH THE GOAL TO LESSEN THE IMPACT OF MENTAL HEALTH STIGMA AND HELP CONNECT PEOPLE WITH RESOURCES.
