THE TFF MENTORING PROGRAM AIDS IN SUPPORTING UP AND COMING GOLFERS WITH UTAH TIES IN THEIR PURSUIT OF THE PGA TOUR IN HOPES THAT ONCE THEY MAKE IT THERE, THEY'LL IN TURN SUPPORT THE STATE THEY GREW UP IN AND DO THEIR PART IN HELPING THE NEXT GENERATION REALIZE THEIR GOALS. THIS YEAR TWO GOLFERS WERE SUPPORTED, PETER KUEST AND PATRICK FISHBURN.
THE FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND FOUNDATIONS THAT ARE WORKING TOWARD SIMILAR GOALS AND TAKING CARE OF THE CHILDREN WE AIM TO SUPPORT AND HELP. THIS IS WHERE THE REMAINING CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS AND PROGRAMMING GO.
BIRDIES FOR BOOKS PROVIDES BOOKS AND READING RESOURCES IN THE HANDS OF CHILDREN THAT NEED EXTRA ASSISTANCE. OVER 30,000 BOOKS HAVE BEEN DONATED TO DATE, THIS YEAR'S AMOUNT WAS IN THE 8,000-9,000 BOOK RANGE.
BACKMAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - THIS IS THE SCHOOL THAT TONY GREW UP GOING TO AND WE WORK TO INVEST AS MANY RESOURCES AS POSSIBLE TO HELP THEM BE SUCCESSFUL. WE USE FUNDS TO CELEBRATE AND INCENTIVIZE THEIR GOAL SETTING, READING, AND TAKE CARE OF PHYSICAL NEEDS. THE SCHOOL IS HOME TO APPROXIMATELY 600 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS AND A LARGE PORTION OF THEM ARE CONSIDERED AT-RISK OR IN NEED.
