PROMOTING THAT MUSIC AND CULTURE DRAMATICALLY IMPACT THE LIVES OF YOUTH AND CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT THAT ENABLES YOUNG MUSICIANS TO EXPERIENCE A VARIETY OF CULTURES BY EXPLORING THE MUSIC, HISTORY AND LIFESTYLE OF VARIOUS COUNTRIES.

FIFTEEN (15) STUDENTS ATTENDED THE TWO (2) WEEK MUSIC CURRICULUM FROM JUNE 30 - JULY 14, 2023 INMONTE SAN SAVINO, ITALY. FOUR (4) OF THESE STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIP AID RANGING FROM $2,000 TO $3,500 FROM IYAP. THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS WERE BASED ON FINANCIAL NEED AND WERE APPLIED TO REDUCE THE STUDENTS TRIP COST. STUDENTS PERFORMED FOUR (4) PUBLIC PERFORMANCES FEATURING A BROADWAY MUSICAL SHOWCASEAND ITALIAN/AMERICAN ART SONGS. THE PERFORMANCES WERE SO WELL RECEIVED THAT THE IYAP PROGRAM WAS INVITED BACKTO ITALY AGAIN IN 2024. THE IYAP 2023 SUMMER PROGRAM PERFORMANCES HELPED MANY OF THE HIGH SCHOOL ANDCOLLEGE AGED STUDENTS ENHANCE THEIR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES & PROVIDE MOTIVATION FOR THEIRPROFESSIONAL CAREERS.
