PROMOTE INTEGRATION, ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY, AND POSITIVE CONNECTIONS AMONG REFUGEES, IMMIGRANTS, AND THE WIDER COMMUNITY THROUGH TWO-WAY EDUCATION, IMPROVED ACCESS TO EXISTING SERVICES, AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SERVICES.

COVID RELIEFCRIC RECEIVED VOLUNTARY CASH DONATIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY AND GRANTS TO PROVIDE KEY FACETS OF COVID RELIEF FOR OUR CLIENTS, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE INVOLVING RENTS, MORTGAGES, UTILITIES, VEHICLE EXPENSES, EMERGENCY BILLS AND DIRECT FOOD/SUPPLIES. WE DELIVERED GROCERY ORDERS AND HEALTH ITEMS TO QUARANTINED AND OTHER AFFECTED FAMILIES, AND WORKED WITH THE LOCAL FOOD BANK AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE FOOD BOXES TO FOOD INSECURE CLIENTS WE ALSO PROVIDED LANGUAGE AND SYSTEM NAVIGATION SUPPORT FOR 50 HOUSING ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS AND APPOINTMENTS.


WALK-IN HOURS AND OTHER CLIENT SUPPORT DUE TO COVID-19, ALL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY UNTIL THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR. ASSISTED REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT CLIENTS THROUGH OVER 557 APPOINTMENTS WITH DAILY TASKS SUCH AS:IMMIGRATION ASSISTED WITH SCHEDULING 46 USCIS APPOINTMENTS, FOLLOW-UP CALLS TO USCIS; ANSWERED GENERAL IMMIGRATION QUESTIONS, PROVIDED GENERAL IMMIGRATION INFORMATION AND REFERRALS.SCHEDULED 71 DEPARTMENT OF WORKFORCE SERVICES APPOINTMENTS RE: SNAP (FOOD STAMPS) APPLICATIONS, JOB SEARCHES, UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCEA VARIETY OF OTHER CLIENT SPECIFIC NEEDS AND REFERRALS.


OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES THE CRIC COMMUNITY GARDEN PROVIDES A PLOT WHERE MORE THAN 30 REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT FAMILIES PLANT, GROW AND HARVEST THEIR OWN VEGETABLES ON ABOUT 40 PLOTS WITH THE OPTION TO SELL THE PRODUCE AT THE LOGAN GARDENERS MARKET. THE SPACE ALSO SERVES AS A MEETING PLACE FOR ENTIRE FAMILIES TO GATHER AND SOCIALIZE. ALSO, EXCESS FRESH PRODUCE WAS CONTRIBUTED FROM THE GARDEN TO THE CACHE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY.DRIVERS LICENSE STUDY GROUP: ATTENDED BY 26 CLIENTS WHO LEARNED DRIVING CONCEPTS AND STUDIED FOR THE UTAH DRIVERS LICENSE EXAM.CITIZENSHIP CLINIC ATTENDED BY 64 CLIENTS WHO PREPARED AND STUDIED FOR ENGLISH AND CIVICS TESTS FOR NATURALIZATION INTERVIEWS. 30 CLIENTS RECEIVED COVID-19 VACCINES AT AN EVENT JOINTLY HOSTED BY CRIC AND THE LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
