HEARTLAND'S WORK RESPONDS TO A GROWING NEED AT THE INTERSECTION OF BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS, WHERE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE STAKEHOLDERS UNDERSTAND THAT BUSINESS ACTIVITIES CAN CONTRIBUTE TO EITHER THE ESCALATION OR MITIGATION OF CONFLICTS AND THEIR ATTENDANT HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS.
