THE EYCEJ TEAM HAS GROWN IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, HAS TRANSITIONED INTO A CO-DIRECTORSHIP, AND HAS BECOME INDEPENDENT FROM OUR FINANCIAL CONSULTANTS. WE HAVE MADE GREAT STRIDES TO BUILD TEAM CAPACITY IN FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY, DISTRIBUTE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND FOUND RESOURCES FOR OUR NOW FULL TIME- ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCE ASSISTANT TO BUILD CAPACITY AND TRAINING TO BE A SELF-SUSTAINING ORGANIZATION. IN 2021 WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO SECURE FUNDS TO IMPLEMENT RAISES FOR 2022 FOR THE EYCEJ TEAM.WE CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON COMMUNITY ORGANIZING THROUGH VIRTUAL AND IN PERSON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO AIR, WATER, AND SOIL POLLUTION. OUR ORGANIZATION HAS SECURED FUNDS TO BEGIN OUR FIRST STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS WHICH WILL INCLUDE: MEMBER ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS, ENGAGEMENT OF NECESSARY TEAM, BOARD, ALLIES, A STRATEGIC PLANNING CONSULTANT, DISSEMINATION OF OUR STRATEGIC PLAN, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIC PLAN.
