Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THE RESCUE PROGRAM SAVES ARABIAN/PART-ARABIAN HORSES THAT ARE AT RISK OF SHIPPING TO SLAUGHTER. THE HORSES ARE RESCUED FROM LIVESTOCK AUCTIONS, FEEDLOTS OR NEGLECTFUL HOMES. ONCE IN OUR CARE THEY ARE VETTED, REFED IF NECESSARY, RETRAINED IF NECESSARY, AND THEN RE-HOMED. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE A PROGRAM FOR YOUTHS AGES 13-17 DESIGNED TO PROMOTE CONFIDENCE AROUND HORSES AND ONE'S SELF, AS WELL AS TEACH THE BASICS OF INTERACTING WITH THESE BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS. YOUTH LEARN PROPER FEEDING, HANDLING AND CLEANING TECHNIQUES THROUGH MENTORING WITH EXPERIENCED PROVIDERS. OUR GOAL IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE VERSATILITY AND SENSITIVITY OF THE ARABIAN BREED AS WELL AS THE FACTS AROUND HORSE SLAUGHTER IN AMERICA. WE GO TO CONVENTIONS AND HOLD FUNDRAISERS WHERE WE SPEAK ON THESE TOPICS.
