LWVPA-CEF IS ALSO A TRUSTED SOURCE OF INFORMATION ABOUT HOW GOVERNMENT WORKS AS WELL AS CANDIDATE AND INITIATIVE INFORMATION FOR ELECTIONS. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL LEAGUES, WE PUBLISH NONPARTISAN VOTERS' GUIDES AND MAINTAIN AN ONLINE VOTER'S GUIDE WEBSITE; HOLD CANDIDATES' FORUMS; AND CONDUCT COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS, PRESENTATIONS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL EVENTS ADDRESSING SPECIFIC ISSUES.LWVPA-CEF PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR ALL STATEWIDE RACES, CONGRESSIONAL AND LEGISLATIVE RACES FOR VOTE411 THE LWVUS VOTER INFORMATION PLATFORM WHICH INCLUDES RACE AND CANDIDATE INFORMATION. LWVPACEF PROVIDES TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CANDIDATES, HOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE, HOW TO APPLY FOR AN ABSENTEE OR MAIL-INBALLOT, AS WELL AS OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ELECTION AND VOTING ISSUES.IN ADDITION, LWVPA-CEF, IN COORDINATION WITH OUR LOCAL LEAGUES, MOBILIZED PUBLIC EDUCATION EFFORTS INCLUDING PUBLISHING ARTICLES ANDHOLDING COMMUNITY FORUMS. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON:EDUCATION POLICY AND FUNDING ISSUES, REDISTRICTING REFORM, CRIMINALJUSTICE REFORM, ELECTION REFORM, THE FUNCTIONS OF LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT, SOCIAL POLICY ISSUES AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES.THROUGH IT FAIR DISTRICTS PA PROGRAM TO WHICH LWVPA-CEF IS THE FISCAL SPONSOR, LWVPA-CEF HAS LED NUMEROUS PUBLICE EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS ON REDISTRICTING REFORM, PRODUCED SOCIAL MEDIA AND OTHER INFORMATIONAL RESOURCES. THROUGH ITS SHALE/REIMAGINE PROGRAM LWVPA-CEF EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ON THE SOCIETAL ISSUES SURROUDING ENERGY INDUSTRY ACTIVITIES. THE REIMAGINE ACTIVITIES ASSISTS PUBLIC AND LOCAL ENTITIES PLAN FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIES AND ACTIVITIES. MOST WORK TO DATE HAS BEEN IN SOUTHWESTERN PA.
