GENERAL PUBLIC EDUCATION: PUBLIC TALKS, PRESENTATIONS & WRITINGS NOT PREPARED FOR A SPECIFIC AUDIENCE TO EDUCATE ABOUT THE HISTORY OF DEMOCRACY AND CORPORATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES AND SOLUTIONS TO END CORPORATE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 1) A RADICAL GATHERING WORKED WITH COALITION LEADERS TO HOST A SERIES OF PRESENTATIONS, AND PANELS, TO TEACH, LEARN AND PRACTICE ORGANIZING SKILLS. 2) DEVELOPED AND HOSTED THREE CONSTITUTION DAY EVENTS IN DC FOCUSED ON THE COURTS, THE CORPS AND CONGRESS. 3) PETITION GATHERING CAMPAIGN - COLLECTED SIGNATURES IN SUPPORT FOR MOVING TO AMEND THE US CONSTITUTION AND REJECT THE U.S. SUPREME COURT'S CITIZENS UNITED RULING AND OTHER RELATED CASES, TO FIRMLY ESTABLISH THAT MONEY IS NOT SPEECH, AND THAT HUMAN BEINGS, NOT CORPORATIONS, ARE PERSONS ENTITLED TO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
INTERNSHIPS/FELLOWSHIPS: APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN COMMUNITY ORGANIZING, ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE THE CAPACITY TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE HISTORY OF DEMOCRACY AND CORPORATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES AND SOLUTIONS TO END CORPORATE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS. GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT SUPPORT: TRAINING AND RESOURCES FOR MOVE TO AMEND AFFILIATE AND ADVOCATE LEADERS AND ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS. SKILLS TAUGHT INCLUDE BASIC ORGANIZING, GROUP DEVELOPMENT, MEDIA RELATIONSHIPS, EVENT COORDINATION, RESOLUTION AND INITIATIVE CAMPAIGNS AND POLITICAL ORGANIZING.
