FIRST THINGS FIRST - SENSORY SCREENING PROGRAM, CONDUCT HEARING AND VISION SCREENING, MONITORING, REFERRAL AND FOLLOW UP FOR 1-5 YEAR OLD CHILDREN IN THE FTF PHOENIX NORTH AND PHOENIX SOUTH REGIONS.
EARLY HEARING DETECTION AND INTERVENTION (EHDI).PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE AND IMPLEMENT UNIVERSAL NEWBORN AND EARLY CHILDHOODHEARING SCREENING IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA. PURCHASE EQUIPMENT, PROVIDETRAINING FOR PROVIDERS, IMPLEMENT T-EI SESSIONS FOR CHILDEN 0-3 WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING WHO ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS SPECIALITY PROVIDERS. PROVIDE TRAINING, LOANER SCREENING EQUIPMENT FOR AUDIOLOGISTS,SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS, NURSES AND OTHER HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES PROFESSIONALS WHO PERFORM SCREENING, REFERRAL, FOLLOW UP AND EDUCATION TO THEIR STUDENTS, CLIENTS, AND PATIENTS. COLLECT HEARING AIDS THAT ARE NO LONGER BEING USED AND CONNECT THEM WITH A PERSON WHOSE QUALITY OF LIFE CAN BE ENRICHED BY WEARING THEM. SUPPLY REFURBISHED OR NEW AIDS TO AN ELIGIBLE PERSON USING A NETWORK OF AUDIOLOGISTS.
