IN 2022 THE IWGSC ORGANIZED AND HELD 3 WORKSHOPS AT THE PLANT AND ANIMAL GENOME CONFERENCE AND ORGANIZED AND HOSTED 8 WEBINARS. THE LATEST VERSION OF THE REFSEQV2.1 AND IWGSC REFSEQ ANNOTATION V2.1 WERE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AT THE IWGSC DATA REPOSITORY AT URGI-INRAE. THIS PUBLICLY AVAILABLE DATA WAS DOWNLOADED 25,240 TIMES IN 2022 AND 54,029 BLASTS WERE PERFORMED. IN ADDITION, A NEW IMPROVED AND EXPANDED REGULATORY CAPTURE PANEL FOR PROMOTERS AND OTHER REGULATORY ELEMENTS IN WHEAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED WITH THE IWGSC SPONSOR, ARBOR BIOSCIENCES AND WAS MADE AVAILABLE. THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE IWGSC'S LEADERSHIP TEAM AND STAFF FOCUSED ON WORKING ON THE WHEAT DIVERSITY PROJECT PROPOSAL TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION. IN THIS PROJECT, THE IWGSC PLANS TO PRODUCE PLATINUM QUALITY SEQUENCES OF 12 LANDRACES, A NEW VERSION OF THE IWGSC CHINESE SPRING REFSEQ, AND PRACTICAL HAPLOTYPE GRAPH.
