Part 3 - Line 4a
DURING THE 2021-YEAR, SCIENCE OF SPORT WAS ABLE TO TRAIN 350 ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE NECESSARY RESOURCES TO TEACH STEM IN THE CLASSROOM OR AFTER-SCHOOL SETTING. THIS IMPACTED 35,000 STUDENTS FROM UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. WE ALSO PROVIDED INTERACTIVE SUMMER CAMPS FOR 800 YOUTH AT VARIOUS CAMPS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, WHICH ASSISTED WITH STUDENT LEARNING LOSS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COVID PANDEMIC. OUR GOAL WAS TO BE ABLE TO HELP STUDENTS IMPROVE ACADEMICALLY, SUPPORT SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING, AND BRING STEM EDUCATION TO LIFE THROUGH SPORTS. SCIENCE OF SPORT ALSO HOSTED VARIOUS FIELD TRIPS AND STEM FAIRS FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND EITHER AS PART OF A FIELD TRIP DURING THE SCHOOL DAY OR AS A COMMUNITY EVENT THAT FAMILIES WOULD JOIN AND ATTEND. FOR ALL OF THESE PROGRAMS, SCIENCE OF SPORT PROVIDES STEM KITS, STEM CURRICULUM, STUDENT WORKBOOKS, AND ACCESS TO FREE ONLINE RESOURCES.
