IN 2022, OUR ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO FOCUS ITS EFFORTS ON PHASE 2 OF THE SOUTHWEST LA RECOVERY PROJECT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, NONPROFITS, WORKERS, AND FAMILIES. IN THIS PHASE, WE REACHED OVER 50 COVID AND DISASTER IMPACTED CLIENTS. THIS PHASE TRANSITIONED FROM PHASE 1 AS REPORTED IN 2021. IN A CASE MANAGEMENT APPROACH, WE EITHER ASSISTED OUR CLIENTS DIRECTLY OR HELPED CONNECT THEM TO OTHER AGENCIES THAT COULD ASSIST THEM. SOME HUMAN/SOCIAL SERVICES AND BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES INCLUDED: HOUSING, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING, EDUCATION, SOCIAL SERVICES, SUPPORT GROUPS, BUSINESS COACHING, ASSISTANCE WITH BUSINESS FILINGS, COUNSELING OTHER SMALL BUSINESS AND NONPROFIT SERVICES, GRANT SUPPORT, PRAYER PARTNERS, AND OTHERS. IN THE LDR FUNDED SWLA ED & EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE RECOVERY PROJECT THAT STARTED IN THE FALL OF 2021, WE BEGAN DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND WORKING ON WAYS TO FULFILL THE PROJECT REQUIREMENTS WHILE ALSO COLLABORATING WITH THE SWLA RECOVERY PROJECT. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED ITS EFFORTS IN THE PROCESS OF CREATING THE LA DISASTER RECOVERY CONFERENCE: A TIME OF HOPE AND RENEWAL THAT WAS HELD IN MARCH 2022. OVERALL, WE PROVIDED COMMUNITY EDUCATION SERVICES THROUGH OUR WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA, WORKSHOPS, AND OTHER DISTRIBUTION METHODS. ALL OF OUR SERVICES THAT WE DIRECTLY PROVIDED TO THE COMMUNITY AND TO OUR CLIENTS WERE OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE.
