Part 3 - Line 4a
IN 2023, THE HODOS INSTITUTE IN THE USA AND UKRAINE WAS INVOLVED IN A BROAD RANGE OF ACTIVITIES. OUR PRIMARY FOCUS CENTERED ON APPLIED LEADERSHIP RESEARCH, WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON CROSS-CULTURAL LEADERSHIP DYNAMICS. WE ALSO PROVIDED NON-FORMAL TRAINING PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ENHANCE TEAM BUILDING AND PROMOTE SHARED LEADERSHIP PRACTICES. WE PUBLISHED TWO BOOKS ON LEADERSHIP AND TALENT MANAGEMENT IN UKRAINE AND, BY THE END OF 2023, WERE DEVELOPING THE HODOS YOUTH ACADEMY-A LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM FOR UKRAINIAN YOUTH IMPACTED BY THE WAR. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WE CONDUCTED AROUND 50 RESEARCH INTERVIEWS FOR OUR PROJECT "SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP IN TIMES OF WAR AND PEACE: LESSONS FROM THE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR." THIS PROJECT AIMS TO EXPLORE THE NUANCES OF SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP DURING WAR AND PEACE AND TO IDENTIFY STRATEGIES FOR POST-WAR SOCIETAL RECONSTRUCTION, REHABILITATION, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON SPIRITUALITY AND SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP. WE ORGANIZED APPROXIMATELY 25 WORKSHOPS, BOTH OFFLINE AND ONLINE, SPECIFICALLY TAILORED FOR CHURCHES, CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATIONS, AND INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIANS DEDICATED TO SHAPING A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS IN BOTH THE USA AND UKRAINE. THESE WORKSHOPS OFFERED INSIGHTS INTO LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND TALENT MANAGEMENT, ATTRACTING OVER 700 PARTICIPANTS. WE ALSO ORGANIZED THE CONFERENCE THAT WAS ATTENDED BY ABOUT 200 REPRESENTATIVES OF 60 UKRAINIAN NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. THE HODOS INSTITUTE PLAYED A PIVOTAL ROLE IN THE HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE TO THE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR IN 2023. WE WERE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN EVACUATING PEOPLE AND SUPPORTING INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPS). IN COLLABORATION WITH UKRAINIAN SOCIAL WORKERS, CHURCHES, AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, WE FACILITATED THE PURCHASE AND DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES, INCLUDING FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICATION, AND SHELTER. WE ALSO MADE SEVERAL TRIPS TO UKRAINE TO PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH COACHING AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT, DEMONSTRATING OUR UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO OUR MISSION.
