THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS AND ASSISTS THE EFFICIENT TRANSMISSION OF EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC, MEDICAL, AND OTHER INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS BY CREATING AND MAINTAINING DIRECT COMMUNICATIONS INTERCONNECTIONS BETWEEN AND AMONG MEMBERS, AND BETWEEN AND AMONG MEMBERS AND OTHER INTERNET ACCESS SERVICE PROVIDERS. IT PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ITS MEMBERS BY MINIMIZING LATENCY, JITTER AND PACKET LOSS, REDUCING ROUTER/TRANSPORT HOPS, MAXIMIZING BANDWIDTH, AND IMPROVING REGIONAL FAULT TOLERANCE.
