SUPPORT GROUPS DOOR OF HOPE PROVIDES SUPPORT GROUPS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE AND TRAUMA AT ANY TIME IN THEIR LIVES. DURING 2021, OUR SUPPORT GROUP LEADERSHIP TEAM INCREASED TO 40 LEADERS AND LEADERS IN TRAINING. WE HOSTED 60 SUPPORT GROUPS FOR MEN AND WOMEN, WHICH IS A 9 INCREASE FROM 2020 55 GROUPS. WE HAD 476 ADULT PARTICIPANTS IN 2021 WHICH WAS AN INCREASE OF 44 FROM 2020. SUPPORT GROUPS PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO HEAL AND RECEIVE SUPPORT.
TRAUMA RECOVERY PRAYER MINISTRY IN 2021 WE PROVIDED OVER 296 TRAUMA RECOVERY PRAYER MINISTRY APPOINTMENTS. WE HAVE 38 MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND WHO SERVED ON OUR MINISTRY TEAM IN 2021. BOTH MEN AND WOMEN FOUND A SAFE PLACE TO PROCESS THE TRAUMA THEY HAVE SUFFERED. WE HEAR TESTIMONIES OF GODS HOPE AND LIFE-CHANGING LOVE EVERY WEEK. WE ARE CONTINUING TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR NEW PEOPLE TO JOIN OUR TRAUMA RECOVER PRAYER MINISTRY TEAM AS THIS NEED CONTINUES TO GROW.
CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS WE HOSTED TWO BEAUTY INSTEAD OF ASHES CONFERENCES IN SEPTEMBER AND NOVEMBER OF 2021 FOR A TOTAL OF 97 PARTICIPANTS. OUR BEAUTY INSTEAD OF ASHES CONFERENCES ARE FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ANY KIND OF ABUSE AND FOR WOMEN WHO WANT TO LEARN HOW TO HELP OTHER WOMEN WHO ARE CAUGHT UP IN THE ABUSE CYCLE. WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH TWO EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY TRAINING CONFERENCES IN MANKATO IN APRIL AND OCTOBER OF 2021 WITH A TOTAL OF 39 PARTICIPANTS.
