THE QUEST CENTER SERVED 1,860 STUDENTS IN 2022, INCLUDING 425 ENROLLED IN WEEKLY MUSIC CLASSES. THE QUEST CENTER YEAR-ROUND MUSIC & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE: WEEKLY INSTRUMENT, VOCAL CONDITIONING, AND MUSIC ENRICHMENT CLASSES OFFERED UNCONDITIONALLY TO CHILDREN IN GRADES 4-12; INSTRUMENT WORKSHOPS OFFERED TO ALL 4TH & 5TH GRADERS AT EIGHT TITLE 1 HOST SCHOOLS; MULTIPLE MUSIC CAMPS; EXTENDED EDUCATION CLASSES THAT EXPLORE SONGWRITING, RECORDING, & PERFORMANCE ALONG WITH WORKSHOPS THAT CONNECT STUDENTS TO THE DIVERSITY OF CAREERS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY; PUBLIC SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AT RISK OF FAILING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DICKSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION. OUR PATHWAY PROGRAM PROVIDES TRAINING AND MENTORING TO DEDICATED STUDENTS WHO WANT TO TAKE A LEADERSHIP ROLE AND LEARN SKILLS NEEDED TO BECOME A MUSIC INSTRUCTOR. AS PART OF THEIR HANDS-ON LEARNING, THESE STUDENTS ALSO RECEIVE A PAYMENT STIPEND FOR THE CLASSES IN WHICH THEY SERVE AS ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS. NOW ENTERING OUR 10TH FULL YEAR OF OPERATION, THE QUEST CENTER'S GROWTH, COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS, SCHOOL TEACHERS, AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS DEMONSTRATES THAT WE MAKE EFFECTIVE USE OF MUSIC EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE LIVES OF UNDERSERVED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. CONSISTENT WITH OUR MISSION, OUR PROGRAMS ARE SHOWN TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF CHILDREN BY HELPING THEM DEVELOP SELF-CONFIDENCE, SOCIAL SKILLS, POSITIVE SELF-ESTEEM, COLLABORATION AND CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS - EMPOWERING ATTRIBUTES THAT HELP YOUNG PEOPLE IMPROVE THEIR CHANCES FOR SUCCESS IN SCHOOL, PREPARE THEM TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPETE IN THE JOB MARKET, AND BECOME POSITIVELY CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES. OUR 2022 PROGRAM PARTNERS INCLUDED: BOB BRITT MUSIC; THE CMA (COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION); CHARLOTTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; SETON HOME SCHOOL CO-OP; DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES OF DICKSON COUNTY/THE ARC DICKSON COUNTY; DICKSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION; DICKSON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE; DICKSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; DISCOVERY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; OAKMONT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; STUART BURNS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; SULLIVAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; VANLEER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; WHITE BLUFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
