GLOBAL CITIZENS INITIATIVE INC'S ("GCI"), ENDEAVOR IS TO "ENGAGE, EDUCATE AND EMPOWER" YOUTH AS AGENTS OF POSITIVE CHANGE.

SINCE 2014, GCI ANNUALLY CONVENES 28 SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AT A 9-10 DAY SUMMIT. DURING THE SUMMIT STUDENTS ENGAGE WITH EACH OTHER AND ARE TAUGHT AN ACADEMIC CURRICULUM THAT INCLUDES DISCUSSION-BASED LEARNING AND DESIGN THINKING. THE SUMMIT SERVES AS THE SPRINGBOARD FOR A 10-MONTH FELLOWSHIP FOCUSED ON IMPLEMENTING A SERVICE PROJECT IN THEIR HOME COMMUNITIES BASED ON THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS. IN 2018 GCI HELD ITS FIRST ANNUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR FOR 12 SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS. IN 2021 GCI LAUNCHED THE GLOBAL COLLABORATIVE CURRICULM WHICH VIRTUALLY PAIRS SCHOOLS IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. GCI CONTINUES TO EXPAND ITS IMPACT AND ENGAGEMENT OF THE GCI COMMUNITY IN PERSON AND VIRTUALLY THROUGH GOGCI A ROBUST ONLINE PLATFORM.
