STATE SUPPORT ORG EXPANDS CAPACITY OF 29 AFFILIATES. LEADERSHIP BODY LEVERAGES HABITAT'S COLLECTIVE IMPACT TO IMPROVE HOME AFFORDABILITY VIA ADVOCACY, RESOURCES, EDUCATION, & DISASTER SVCS. AFFILIATES HAVE BUILT/REPAIRED 4,500 HOMES IN 37 COUNTIES SINCE 1978.

DISASTER RESPONSE AND COVID-19 RELIEF1) MAKING A DIFFERENCE: ORGANIZED A STATEWIDE EXTERNAL PPE DISTRIBUTION PROJECT UTILIZING 17 HABITAT LOCATIONS TO PROVIDE 128K MASKS AND 2,600 GALLONS OF HAND SANITIZER TO 310 NONPROFITS SERVING 46 COUNTIES. 2) COVID-19 MORTGAGE RELIEF: PROVIDED 84 MONTHS OF MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE TO 28 LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS IN 11 COUNTIES FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. 3) SC CARES ACT RELIEF PROGRAMS: ONE OF NINE ORGS WHO PARTNERED WITH SCS COVID-19 TASK FORCE TO AID NONPROFITS AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS APPLYING FOR $65MM IN SC CARES FUNDING. MINORITY AND SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF GRANT PROGRAM AWARDED 2,284 RECIPIENTS $40MM; NONPROFIT RELIEF GRANT PROGRAM AWARDED 686 RECIPIENTS $25MM (9 HABITAT ENTITIES RECEIVED $387K)


EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. 1) ECONOMIC IMPACT ANALYSES (EIA): CREATED LOCAL, REGIONAL AND STATE EIA REPORTS. FY2020 EIA QUANTIFIED HABITATS COLLECTIVE IMPACT ACROSS SC AS HAVING INVESTED $33.5MM - HELPING 232 FAMILIES ACHIEVE THEIR GOAL OF HOMEOWNERSHIP, CREATING NEARLY $62MM OF TOTAL ECONOMIC ACTIVITY, AND SUPPORTING 518 TOTAL JOBS, PAYING OVER $22MM IN LABOR INCOME. 2) HOSTED 57 EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING SESSIONS FOR 514 HABITAT ATTENDEES THROUGHOUT 35 COUNTIES (FOCUS: OPERATIONS, MANAGEMENT, RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, RESTORE, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, ADVOCACY, DISASTER SERVICES, VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT, CONSTRUCTION, MORTGAGE SERVICES, COVID-19 RESPONSE). 3) HABITAT ON THE HILL STATE COORDINATOR AND COST OF HOME FIELD ORGANIZER: INCREASED PARTICIPATION, TRAINING, AND SUPPORT ACROSS STATE NETWORK.

SC FOOTPRINT: 1 ASO; 30 AFFILIATES; 27 RESTORES; 330 STAFF ; 15K VOLUNTEERS; 35 COUNTIES. 2) 2021 SOUTH CAROLINA HOME ATTAINABILITY CONFERENCE: PROMINENT CONTRIBUTOR AND COMMUNITY PARTNER; HOSTED 6 SESSIONS WITH 413 ATTENDEES.. 3) SC STAY: ORGANIZED NETWORK SUPPORT OF $25MM IN MORTGAGE AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE, ADMINISTERED BY SC HOUSING VIA CDBG-CV. 4) HOMEOWNER ASSISTANCE FUND: ADVOCATE FOR CREATION OF COVID-19 MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE FUND; LED COLLABORATION OF 86 ORGS TO SECURE $145MM FOR SC. 5) COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: DEVELOPED PARTNERSHIPS, FINANCIAL SUPPORT, AND IN-KIND DONATIONS TO BROADEN HABITATS IMPACT ON HOUSING NEEDS.
