GIVE A LIFT TO A VET. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES FIVE DAYS PER WEEK TRANSPORTATION OF OUR AREAS MILITARY VETERANS TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AT THE VAMC IN IOWA CITY, IOWA. THIS IS A NO COST TO THE VETERAN AND PROVIDES COMFORTABLE VAN TRANSPORTATION FIVE DAYS A WEEK. ALL INVOLVED IN THIS PROGRAM INCLUDING DRIVERS ARE COMPLETELY VOLUNTEER AND ARE NOT PAID IN ANY MANNER. THE FUNDS DONATED ARE USED TO PROCURE NEW VANS WHEN THE TIME ARISED FOR REPLACEMENT. OUR VETERANS FREEDOM CENTER OFFERS VETERANS A PLACE TO NETWORK TOGETHER WHILE PROVIDING THE CAMARADERIE ALL SHARED WHILE SERVING OUR GREAT NATION. A WOOD SHOP, CRAFT AREA, AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SHUFFLEBOARD, POOL, DARTS, TV, MUSIC, AND COMPUTER USAGE IS AVIALABLE. OPERATION WE CARE SUPPORTS VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES THAT HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS WHEREBY ALL OTHER MEANS OF ASSISTANCE HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED. WE PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR RENT, MORTGAGE, MEDICATIONS, FOOD, CLOTHING, AND UTILITIES FOR THOSE IN NEED.
