CUREBOUND LEADS WITH A TRULY UNIQUE INVESTMENT MODEL FOCUSED ON CROSS INSTITUTIONAL COLLABORATION. THIS APPROACH BRINGS TOGETHER IDEAS, TECHNOLOGIES, AND RESEARCH APPROACHES THAT SIMPLY CANNOT OCCUR WITHIN ONE INSTITUTION AND ULTIMATELY ACCELERATES DISCOVERIES TO CLINICAL APPLICATION TO SAVE LIVES. THE RESEARCH TEAMS FUNDED REPRESENT THE THREE NCI CANCER CENTERS IN SAN DIEGO WITH MOORES CANCER CENTER AT UC SAN DIEGO HEALTH, THE SALK INSTITUTE, AND SANFORD BURNHAM PREBYS MEDICAL DISCOVERY INSTITUTE. ALSO, RADY CHILDRENS HOSPITAL, SCRIPPS RESEARCH, AND THE LA JOLLA INSTITUTE OF IMMUNOLOGY. WE ESTABLISHED THE CANCER RESEARCH ROADMAP TO FUND THE MOST PROMISING, INNOVATIVE ONCOLOGY RESEARCH ACROSS ALL CANCER TYPES IN ALIGNMENT WITH FIVE SCIENTIFIC INVESTMENT PILLARS PREVENTION AND DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS, NOVEL APPROACHES AND NEW THERAPEUTIC PLATFORMS, IMMUNOTHERAPIES AND PERSONALIZED VACCINES, CANCER EQUITES, AND PEDIATRIC CANCERS.
