THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED A NEW BUSINESS LINE "BRIGHT IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD" A PROGRAM IN SAN MATEO COUNTY TO HELP LOW-AND-MODERATE INCOME HOMEOWNERS TO ADD SECONDARY UNITS (ALSO KNOWN AS ACCESORY DWELLING UNITS (ADUS))TO THEIR HOMES AS AN ASSET BUILDING STRATEGY AND TO CREATE NEW RENTAL HOUSING IN THE FABRIC OF EXISTING NEIGHBORHOODS. THE ORGANIZATION IS CONTINUING ITS EFFORTS TO EXPAND THIS NEW LINE OF BUSINESS BY PROVIDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO JURISDICTIONS AND HOMEOWNERS FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH IN 2020.
