TO ENGAGEMENT IN OR OTHERWISE SUPPORT HOUSING, PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT LESSEN THE BURDENS OF LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, INCLUDING BUT LIMITED TO SUPPORTING UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, LOW-AND MODERATE INCOME PERSONS, DISABLED PERSONS AND/OR ELDERLY PERSONS AT RISK OF DISPLACEMENT AND IN NEED OF DECENT, SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING SOLUTIONS THAT PROMOTE STABILITY, CENTER EQUITY AND CULTIVATE COMMUNITY.

THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED A NEW BUSINESS LINE "BRIGHT IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD" NOW TITLED "HELLOADU" IN SAN MATEO COUNTY IN 2020 TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SUPPORT TO LOW-AND MODERATE-INCOME OWNERS WHO SEEK TO CREATE AN ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT ON THEIR PROPERTIES AS AN ASSET BUILDING STRATEGY AND TO CREATE NEW AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING IN THE FABRIC OF EXISTING NEIGHBORHOODS AS AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING CREATION STRATEGY. SINCE THE LAUNCH IN 2020, THE PROGRAM HAS EXPANDED TO ALAMEDA COUNTY, MARIN COUNTY AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, WORKING CLOSELY WITH JURISDICTION'S HOUSING DEPARTMENTS AND BUILDING PLANNING DEPARTMENTS AS WELL AS ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS WHO ARE SEEKING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SUPPORT. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO OPERATE A ROBUST DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR ALAMEDA COUNTY KNOWN AS AC BOOST WHICH IS FUNDED THROUGH THE COUNTY'S MEASURE A1 BOND. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO SUPPORT JURISDICTIONS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THEIR BELOW MARKET RATE PROGRAMS AND HOUSING PORTFOLIO'S.
