BREAST CARE FOR WASHINGTON WAS FOUNDED AS A NONPROFIT, COMMUNITY BASED BREAST CANCER SCREENING ORGANIZATION. BREAST CARE FOR WASHINGTON OFFERS ACCESS TO SCREENING AND DIAGNOSTIC MAMMOGRAMS WITH 3D TECHNOLOGY, BREAST ULTRASOUNDS, MINIMALLY INVASIVE BREAST BIOPSIES, PATIENT NAVIGATION AND CARE COORDINATION FOR WOMEN. PATIENT SERVICES BEGAN IN 2014 AND IN 2019 A MOBILE MAMMOGRAPHY UNIT WAS ADDED TO EXTEND THE REACH OF PATIENT SERVICES TO ADDITIONAL SERVICE AREAS IN THE DC METRO AREA. SINCE 2014, WE HAVE PROVIDED CARE TO OVER 9,000 WOMEN. BREAST CARE FOR WASHINGTON PROVIDED SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 2,300 PATIENTS DURING 2021, WHICH IS A 9.5% INCREASE FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
