EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAMS - PROVIDE BREAST HEALTH EDUCATION AND TEACH THE VALUE OF EARLY DETECTION OF BREAST CANCER. THE CORE CURRICULUM IS CENTERED ON RISK BASED-SCREENING, WITH A FOCUS ON INDIVIDUAL RISK FACTORS, CORRELATED SCREENING OPTIONS, AND SELF-ADVOCACY. BREMS EDUCATION PROGRAMS EMPHASIZE A PERSONALIZED APPROACH BECAUSE WHEN IT COMES TO BREAST SCREENING THERE IS NO ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL. BREMS PROGRAMS ARE PACKED WITH ESSENTIAL BREAST HEALTH CONTENT WHICH EMPOWER WOMEN TO GET THE CARE THEY NEED. THE BREM FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH NONPROFITS AND PROVIDERS TO IDENTIFY RECIPIENTS FOR B-FUND SUPPORT IN LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES WHO CAN NOT AFFORD CARE. WITH BREM FUNDING, PROVIDERS PERFORM B-FUND DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER AN ABNORMAL SCREENING. THIS PROGRAM ENSURES THAT A PATIENT'S ABILITY TO PAY DOES NOT DETERMINE WHETHER SHE CAN GET A TIMELY BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS.
WHEELS FOR WOMEN OFFERS FREE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM BREAST SCREENING AND DIAGNOSTIC BREAST EXAMS, ENSURING THAT WOMEN HAVE ACCESS TO VITAL BREAST CARE. SINCE LAUNCHING THE PROGRAM IN MAY 2019, WHEELS FOR WOMEN HAS PROVIDED OVER 775 RIDES TO LIFESAVING CARE.
