AZCERT'S MISSION IS PRIMARILY ADDRESSED BY CONDUCTING ANALYSES OF DATA AND EVIDENCE RELATIVE TO THE SAFE USE OF MEDICINES AND MAKING THE RESULTS OF THESE ANALYSES AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC ON ITS WEBSITE WWW.CREDIBLEMEDS.ORG. IN ADDITION, AZCERT IS FOCUSING ON EXPANDING THE NUMBER OF SITES UTILIZING ITS MEDSAFETY SCAN, AN ELECTRONIC INTERFACE PROGRAM THAT CAN ACCESS HE CREDIBLEMEDS WEBSITE AUTOMATICALLY AND INTEGRATE IT WITH THE PATIENT'S ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD TO ADVISE PHYSICIANS AND PHARMACISTS HOW TO SAFELY ADJUST AND ADMIISTER MEDICINES FOR THAT INDIVIDUAL PATIENT. CURRENTLY 3,200 SITES USE MEDSAFETY SCAN AND THE RECORDS OF OVER 1 MILLION PATIENTS (AN INCREASE FROM 250,000 PATIENTS LAST YEAR) HAVE BEEN CONNECTED TO AND ANALYZED BY MEDSAFETY SCAN.CURRENTLY THERE 216,000 REGISTERED USERS OF THE CREDIBLEMEDS WEBSITE WITH APPROXIMATELY 1000 USERS EACH DAY. THE SMARTPHONE APP HAS BEEN DOWNLOADED BY OVER 150,000 USERS.
