STRIVING TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS BY PROVIDING OUR NEIGHBORS LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES WITH FIRST-CHOICE, FRESH, NUTRITIOUS, CULTURALLY RELEVANT VEGETABLES AND FRUIT.

OVER 100,000 POUNDS FO VEGETABLES WERE GROWN AND GLEANED AND DISTRIBUTED TO OVER 40 FOOD PANTRIES IN DANE COUNTY, WISCONSIN. THIS FRESH PRODUCE WAS DISTRIBUTED TO ROUGHLY 40,000 INDIVIDUALS. 56 INDIVIDUALS LEARNED AND ASSISTED IN THE PLANTING, CARE AND HARVESTING OF THESE VEGETABLES.


PROJECT FORWARD GARDEN OUR GOALS ARE: 1. DELIVER FOOD WITH DIGNITY REGARDLESS OF SOCIEOECONOMIC STATUS, 2. PROVIDE NUTRITIOUS SEASONAL VEGETABLES SOUGHT BY CLIENTELE 3. MINIMIZE FOOD WASTE. ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS 1. OBTAIN A LONG TERM COMMITMENT WITH LAND OWNERS ENABLING US TO INVEST IN EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PROPERTY 2. DEVELOP PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER FORPROFIT AND NONPROFIT BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ENHANCE OUR ABILITIES


EMPLOY A FARM INTERN: PROMOTE AND HIRING AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT WHO WILL LEARN 1. HOW TO GROW, CARE AND HANDLE VEGETABLES AND WORK WITH YOUTH AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS. TO BE ESTABLISHED IN 2021
