INCREASE REAL FOOD ACCESS: CONDUCT REAL CERTIFICATION OF FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS WITHIN K-12 SCHOOL DISTRICTS. REAL CERTIFICATION EVALUATES FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS ACROSS A SERIES OF KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS) SUCH AS NUTRITIONAL CONTENT OF FOOD AND BEVERAGES SERVED, PREPARATION METHODS, PORTION SIZES, AND SOURCES OF FOODS. PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS RE: HOW TO IMPROVE THE MENU OPTIONS AND EVALUATE UPDATES MADE.


RESEARCH AND DEVELOP STANDARDS AND TOOLS TO EVALUATE NUTRITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY OF FOOD SERVICE PROGRAMS; INCORPORATE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE AND ADVISORY TO INCREASE POSITIVE OUTCOMES; DESIGN, IMPLEMENT, AND SHARE IMPACT MEASUREMENT TO INCREASE OVERALL UNDERSTANDING OF EFFICACY OF ORGANIZATIONAL EFFORTS.
