THE ORGANIZATION WAS THE RECIPIENT OF A $90,000 GRANT FROM NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL OF THE ARTS TO DEVELOP AN INTERACTIVE APP AND WEBSITE THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND EDUCATIONAL HISTORY OF SCHOHARIE COUNTY. THIS WILL CONNECT RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO THE VAST ARTS, CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL ASSETS THAT SCHOHARIE COUNTY OFFERS, AS WELL AS HELP TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT.
SALT CONTINUES TO COORDINATE AMOUNG MULTIPLE AGENCIES TO FOSTER COMMUNITY RESILIENCY. SALT HAS COMPLETED CASE MANAGEMENT, DISASTER RESPONSE SERVICES, AND THE OUTREACH TO HELP DETERMINE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. A SHIFT TO PREPAREDNESS AND THE MOBILIZATION OF CULTURAL AND NATURAL ASSETS TO ELEVATE ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY STABILITY, HAS BECOME THE FOCUS. THIS CONSTITUTES THE NEXT PHASE OF LONG-TERM RECOVERY.
SALT HAS BUILT EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE FOR OVERALL CONSTRUCTION AND VOLUNTEER OVERSIGHT, AND IT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN RESOURCING AND COORDINATING VOLUNTEERS, DONATIONS, AND FUND DEVELOPMENT TOWARD UNMET NEEDS.
