OUR BASIC MISSION IS TO ENGAGE YOUTH IN CHARITABLE ACTIVITES THAT MAY PROVIDE RELIEF OF THE POOR, THE DISTRESSED, OR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED; LESSEN NEIGHBORHOOD TENSIONS; REDUCE PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION, OR COMBAT COMMUNITY DETERIORATION. CURRENTLY WE ARE BUILDING HOMES IN NEW ORLEANS.

DURING FY 2020/21 WE SENT 132 VOLUNTEERS ON 5 TRIPS TO NEW ORLEANS WHERE THEY PERFORMED REPAIR WORK IN 5+ HOMES/PROJECTS IN THE GREATER NEW ORLEANS AREA. SAA CONTRIBUTED 4,620 MAN HOURS OF LABOR HELPING SURVIVORS OF HURRICANE KATRINA RETURN TO HABITABLE DWELLINGS; THEREBY PROVIDING SOCIAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS.
