ESTABLISHED THE FREEDOM SCHOOL TO EDUCATE LOCAL STUDENTS ABOUT AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY. THIS PILOT EDUCATION PROGRAM DREW THE SUPPOST OF LOCAL EDUCATORS AND PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING A $200,OOO GRANT FROM THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SARASOTA COUNTY.


AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 29 DESERVING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN MANATEE AND SARASOTA COUNTY
