IN THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR, THE APSF AWARDED $91,223 TO THE AUBURN SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE FORM OF CLASSROOM BASED GRANTS, PANTRY PROJECT FUNDING, AND COVID RELIEF EFFORTS. CLASSROOM BASED GRANTS:THE APSF AWARDED $63,173 FOR CLASSROOM-BASED GRANTS SUPPORTING STEM, LITERACY, THE ARTS, NUTRITION, AND HEALTHY CHOICES. SOME OF THESE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDED THE HANDLE WITH CARE PROGRAM, TRAUMA INFORMED YOGA, ADAPTIVE KITCHEN AND COOKING MATERIALS FOR SLC CLASSROOMS, ORCHESTRA INSTRUMENTS, MATH TOOLS, AND FRACTION MANIPULATIVES. PANTRY PROJECT:THE APSF PROVIDED AN ADDITIONAL $13,250 TO FUND THE PANTRY PROJECT AT EACH OF OUR SCHOOLS, INCLUDING SUPPLEMENTAL GRANTS WHEN SCHOOLS RAN OUT OF FUNDS. THESE GRANTS ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE STUDENTS IN NEED WITH IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO FOOD, CLOTHING, AND HYGIENE ITEMS. GIFT CARDS/COVID-19 SUPPORT:THE APSF PROVIDED $14,800 IN COVID RELIEF FUNDING. COVID FORCED SCHOOLS TO TRANSITION TO VIRTUAL LEARNING SO THE APSF SHIFTED FUNDING PRIORITIES AND BEGAN RAISING MONEY TO PROVIDE WALMART AND FRED MEYER $50 GIFT CARDS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IN NEED TO PURCHASE FOOD, CLOTHING, HYGIENE ITEMS, AND GAS.
