GRANTS TO LAKE OSWEGO SCHOOL DISTRICT, USED TO HIRE AND RETAIN TEACHING POSITIONS THAT PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES BEYOND WHAT IS POSSIBLE WITH LIMITED PUBLIC FUNDING. FOUNDATION FUNDS GRANTED TO THE LAKE OSWEGO SCHOOL DISTRICT ENABLE THE DISTRICT TO PROVIDE MUSIC TEACHERS AND READING SPECIALISTS AT THE ELEMENTARY LEVEL. AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL, THE LAKE OSWEGO SCHOOLS FOUNDATION FUNDS ENABLE THE DISTRICT TO PROVIDE MORE ELECTIVES AND ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES FOR STUDENTS TO EXPLORE AND PURSUE INTERESTS FOR CAREER AND COLLEGE READINESS, AS WELL AS RECEIVE ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION TIME IN SCHOOL. THE LAKE OSWEGO SCHOOLS FOUNDATION INVESTS IN TEACHERS FOR ALL STUDENTS OF LAKE OSWEGO SCHOOL DISTRICT.
