BALLETCOLLECTIVE PRODUCED A DANCE LAB IN MILLBROOK, NY AT DUTCHESS DAY SCHOOL FROM JULY 19 TO JULY 31, 2021 TO REHEARSE AND PERFORM EXCERPTS OF THE NIGHT FALLS, A NEW DANCE-DRIVEN WORK OF MUSIC THEATER DELAYED BY THE PANDEMIC AND SLATED TO NOW FULLY PREMIERE IN FEBRUARY 2023. BALLETCOLLECTIVE ENGAGED AN ENSEMBLE OF EIGHT DANCERS FROM JUILLIARD, NEW YORK CITY BALLET, CIRQUE DU SOLEIL AND THE MARTHA GRAHAM DANCE COMPANY. IN-PROGRESS PERFORMANCES WERE HELD AT DUTCHESS DAY SCHOOL ON JULY 30 AND 31 AND WERE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. A TOTAL OF 156 PEOPLE WERE IN ATTENDANCE FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, 82 INDIVIDUALS ON JULY 30 AND 74 ON JULY 31.ON NOVEMBER 1 AND 2, 2021, BALLETCOLLECTIVE PRESENTED "RE-MEMBERING" A CELEBRATION OF ITS 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT BOHEMIAN NATIONAL HALL IN NY, NY. BOTH LIVE PERFORMANCES FEATURED THE NYC PREMIERE OF NATURAL HISTORY, THE FIRST FULL BALLET PREMIERED IN THE US SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC, AND TWO ACCLAIMED PIECES FROM THE BALLETCOLLECTIVE REPERTORY. A TOTAL OF 259 TICKETS WERE SOLD FOR BOTH PERFORMANCES, 133 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE PERFORMANCE ON NOVEMBER 1 AND 126 ON NOVEMBER 2 WITH THE REMAINDER DONATED TO LOCAL DANCE STUDENTS. THE SECOND PERFORMANCE WAS ALSO STREAMED LIVE WITH A TOTAL OF 1735 VIEWS. BALLETCOLLECTIVE ENGAGED 30 ARTISTS INCLUDING 21 DANCERS FROM NEW YORK CITY BALLET AND MARTHA GRAHAM, 10 MUSICIANS PERFORMING LIVE MUSIC FROM THE KNIGHTS WITH TWO SPECIAL GUESTS, LIGHTING DESIGNER, CONDUCTOR, COMPOSER, SOURCE ARTIST, REHEARSAL DIRECTOR AND CHOREOGRAPHER.
