WITH A FOCUS ON YOUTH PROGRAMS, WIND & OAR PROVIDES HANDS-ON WOODWORKING EXPERIENCE WHILE MAKING MATH AND SCIENCE RELEVANT. WE ALSO PROVIDE A SPACE TO DEVELOP CRITICAL THINKING, TEAM BUILDING, AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS, ALL OF WHICH ARE IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF SUCCESSFUL CAREER DEVELOPMENT. THE SKILLS THEY GAIN BY CREATING A TANGIBLE OBJECT WITH THEIR HANDS GIVES THEM CONFIDENCE AND MOTIVATION THEY CAN CARRY INTO FUTURE ENDEAVORS, WHETHER THEY ARE ACADEMIC OR IN THE WORKPLACE.
