MATH CIRCLES OF CHICAGO CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL CHILDREN ACROSS CHICAGO TO DEVELOP A PASSION FOR MATHEMATICS.

WE PROVIDE BI-WEEKLY MATH ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS AT 7 HUBS AROUND CHICAGO DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR, ALONG WITH 20 AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS, 5 ONLINE CLASSROOMS, AND PROGRAMS IN 6 HOMELESS SHELTERS. THESE PROGRAMS RAN FROM SEPTEMBER TO MAY, SERVING OVER 600 CHILDREN IN GRADES 5-12. 96% OF PARTICIPATING STUDENTS WERE HIGHLY SATISFIED WITH THESE PROGRAMS.
IN JULY 2021 WE SERVED 150 STUDENTS IN WEEK-LONG ONLINE SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS, WITH A SATISFACTION RATE OF 91%.
IN DECEMBER 2021 WE HELD OUR ANNUAL MATH SYMPOSIUM. THE SYMPOSIUM WAS HELD IN PERSON (AFTER BEING ONLINE IN 2020), AND 105 STUDENTS IN GRADES 5 TO 12 PRESENTED THEIR ORIGINAL MATH RESEARCH, A 156% INCREASE IN PARTICIPATION OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
