MANY HAITIANS MIGRATED TO THE TOWN OF O'ROUCK (ANSE-A-VEAU) AFTER A DEVASTING EARTHQUAKE (7.0 MAGNITUDE) DESTROYED THEIR HOMES ON JANUARY 12, 2010. MANY OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS (EARTHQUAKES, TROPICAL STORMS AND HURRICANES) HAVE OCCURRED THOUGH THE YEARS. EACH TOWN IN HAITI SHOULD NOT BE TOTALLY DEPENDENT UPON ONE MAJOR CITY. REBUILDING THE INFRASTRUCTURE, EDUCATING AND PROVIDING LOCAL JOBS BASED ON THE LOCAL RESOURCES WILL ENABLE THE PEOPLE TO GAIN THE SKILL TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVES.

OUR PROJECTS ARE ALL INTERTWINED AND WILL ALLOW THE PEOPLE OF O'ROUCK (ANSE-A-VEAU) TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT.PROJECT 1: KINDEST HEARTS ACADEMIE - "WE BUILT A SCHOOL, IN ORDER TO PASS DOWN THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION TO GROW"WE ARE DEDICATED TO HELP EVERY CHILD REACH HIS OR HER POTENTIAL BY MEETING AS MANY OF THEIR NEEDS AS POSSIBLE.OUR STUDENTS ENJOY DAILY FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH DUE TO OUR DONORS CONTRIBUTIONS.FOR FALL OF 2022, 250 PLUS STUDENTS ENROLLED IN GRADES PRE-K THROUGH 11 WITH AN AVERAGE CLASS SIZE OF ABOUT 18 STUDENTS. KINDEST HEARTS ACADAMIE HAS A FULLY EQUIPPED COMPUTER LAB WITH INTERNET,FOR DISTANCE LEARNING,IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES INSTITUTE (ETI). THE 11TH GRADERS ARE TAKING ONLINE CLASSES.THERE ARE ALWAYS REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED TO THE SCHOOL BUILDING AND ARE MAKING ACCOMMODATIONS TO PREPARE FOR HURRICANES AND EARTHQUAKES.


IN 2016, WE INSTALLED A WATER WELL, ENABLING US TO PROVIDE FRESH WATER TO THE COMMUNITY. WE BUILT A HOME (MAISON DES AMIS) FOR CHILDREN WHO COMMUTE LONG DISTANCES TO BOARD ON WEEKDAYS.


OUR PROJECTS ARE ALL INTERTWINED AND WILL ALLOW THE PEOPLE OF O'ROUCK (ANSE-A-VEAU) TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT.PROJECT 2: CENTRE MEDICAL D'O'ROUCKOUR CLINIC PROVIDES MUCH NEEDED HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO OUR STUDENTS, STAFF, THE PEOPLE OF O'ROUCK AND TO THE NEIGHBORING TOWNS.


OUR PROJECTS ARE ALL INTERTWINED AND WILL ALLOW THE PEOPLE OF O'ROUCK (ANSE-A-VEAU) TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT.PROJECT 3: PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY TO GAIN VALUABLE EXPERIENCE TO BECOME INTEGRAL PARTS OF THEIR COMMUNITY. THIS COULD LOOK LIKE EMPLOYING LOCAL TEACHERS AT OUR SCHOOL, OR HAVE A LOCAL NURSE STAFF THE CLINIC.
