CHELAN DOUGLAS COUNTY VOLUNTEER ATTORNEY SERVICES (CDCVAS) WAS FOUNDED IN 2002 ON THE PRINCIPLE OF ACCESS TO JUSTICE, FOR ALL. THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO BRIDGE THE JUSTICE GAP BY FACILITATING HIGH QUALITY, FREE, CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME PERSONS IN CHELAN AND DOUGLAS COUNTIES. CDCVAS ACCOMPLISHES THIS MISSION BY ENLISTING THE HELP OF LAWYERS THROUGHOUT CHELAN AND DOUGLAS COUNTIES WHO ARE WILLING TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME ON A PRO BONO BASIS OR AT A SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED RATE. VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS ASSIST INDIVIDUALS FACING CIVIL LEGAL PROBLEMS INCLUDING FAMILY LAW MATTERS HOUSING/EVICTION ISSUES, CONSUMER LAW QUESTIONS, EMPLOYMENT ISSUES AND SENIORS NEEDING WILLS AND OTHER END OF LIFE DOCUMENTS. QUALIFYING CLIENTS RECEIVE EVERYTHING FROM FREE LEGAL ADVICE, DOCUMENT DRAFTING AND REVIEW, AS WELL AS OCCASIONAL REPRESENTATION TO RESOLVE THEIR CIVIL LEGAL PROBLEMS.
