EDUCATIONAL AND TECHINCAL SUPPORT WAS PROVIDED FOR 12 BEGINNING/DISADVANTAGED FARMERS WHO WERE INVOLVED IN NEW ROOTS FARM INCUBATOR COOPERATIVE. RESEARCH ON SPECIALTY CROPS AND SEED BREEDING BY FARMER MEMBERS OF THE FARM BREEDING CLUB INCLUDED TRIALS ON 5 FARMS OF CORN BRED BY THE MANDAAMIN INSTITUTE AND CONTINUED RESEARCH ON AN OPEN-POLLINATED VARIETY OF BUCKWHEAT.
