THE ORGANIZATION REGULARLY HOSTS PROGRAMS OF A HISTORICAL NATURE AT THEIR FACILITY FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. NEWSLETTERS ARE SENT TO MEMBERS CONTAINING PUBLICITY FOR THESE PROGRAMS AND OTHER INFORMATIVE AND HISTORICAL MATERIAL. THE MUSEUM COLLECTS, MAINTAINS AND DISPLAYS ARTIFACTS OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO THE AREA, AS WELL AS BRINGING IN TRAVELING EXHIBITS. THE FACILITY IS STAFFED WITH VOLUNTEERS. THE MUSEUM DIRECTOR IS A STRONG COMMUNITY RESOURCE AND CARRIES OUT PUBLIC PROMOTION OF THE MUSEUM'S ACTIVITIES.
