COLLECTIONS PRESERVATION & EXHIBITS RCHS SERVES THOUSANDS OF RESEARCHERS ANNUALLY THROUGH ITS MARY LIVINGSTON GRIGGS & MARY GRIGGS BURKE RESEARCH CENTER. RCHS PRESERVES MORE THAN 4.5 MILLION ITEMS, PRIMARILY ARCHIVAL DOCUMENTS, AND PROVIDES ACCESS TO THOUSANDS OF ARTIFACTS AND IMAGES THROUGH THE RESEARCH CENTER AND WEBSITE. IN THE PAST YEAR RCHS ADDED HUNDREDS OF DOCUMENTS AND ARTIFACTS TO ITS COLLECTIONS. IT ALSO CREATED THE EXHIBIT 50 YEARS OF THE MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL (MN) CHAPTER OF THE LINKS, INCORPORATED 1972-2022 AND CONTINUED DIGITIZING ITS BUILDING PERMIT COLLECTION.
PUBLIC PROGRAMS & GIBBS FARM 27 HISTORY REVEALED PROGRAMS WERE HELD, VIRTUALLY ALL DELIVERED ONLINE. AT GIBBS FARM ABOUT 9,000 STUDENTS ATTENDED FIELD TRIPS IN TWO PARTIAL SEASONS. DIGITAL PROGRAMS AND OFF-SITE PROGRAMMING REACHED THOUSANDS MORE. RCHS SUCCESSFULLY TESTED TWO WINTER FIELD TRIP PROGRAMS THAT WILL BE EXPANDED IN 2023. ADULT PROGRAMMING AT GIBBS FARM WAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED TO 20 PROGRAMS. IN A TYPICAL YEAR, GIBBS FARM SERVES MORE THAN 15,000 STUDENTS AND THOUSANDS OF EDUCATORS.
