SERVICE OBJECTIVE AWARDS - THE ORGANIZATION AWARDS GRANTS TO 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION WHICH SEEKS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN GREATER KANSAS CITY. DURING 2021-22 FISCAL YEAR, SOROPTIMIST AWARDED A TOTAL OF $84,120 IN SERVICE OBJECTIVE AWARDS.
THE SOROPTIMIST FOUNDATION FUNDS A GRANT TO THE SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF KANSAS CITY CLUB TO ASSIST THE CLUB IN THE FUNDRAISING SERVICES IT PROVIDES FOR THE FOUNDATION. THE AWARD TOTALED $5,236.56.
RECOGNITION PROGRAMS - EACH YEAR SOROPTIMIST PRESENTS 3 "LIVE YOUR DREAM AWARDS." THE SOROPTIMIST FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDS TO SI HARARE FOR THEIR SODA PROJECT WHICH HELPED THEM INSTALL SOLAR PANELS BECAUSE OF THE ELECTRICITY CHALLENGES FACED IN ZIMBABWE. THE SOLAR PANELS WOULD ENABLE THE HOME TO PUMP WATER USING A SOLAR PUMP.
