WE FOCUS ON GROWING THE REGION'S ECONOMY, ADVOCATING BUSINESSES' INTERESTS IN THE PUBLIC POLICY ARENA, INCREASING OUR MEMBERS' VISIBILITY AND CONNECTIVITY, AND PROVIDING INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES THAT HELP MEMBERS GROW THEIR BUSINESSES. OUR PROGRAMS HELP OUR MEMBERSHIP DEVELOP THE SKILL SETS NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN AN EVER-CHANGING ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT BY PROVIDING SEMINARS, CLASSES, NETWORKING EVENTS, MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES, AND INFORMATION TO ADVANCE THEIR BUSINESSES TO THE NEXT STAGE. WE BELIEVE STRONG BUSINESSES BUILD A STRONG REGIONAL ECONOMY.


THE CHAMBER ACTIVELY ADVOCATES FOR BUSINESS INTERESTS IN THE PUBLIC POLICY ARENA LOCALLY AND REGIONALLY BY PROVIDING THE MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO BECOME MORE VISIBLE AND BETTER CONNECTED WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS AT ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT. CHAMBER COMMITTEES MEET AND DEVELOP AGENDAS DESIGNED TO CONVEY TO ELECTED OFFICIALS THE LEGISLATIVE NEEDS OF REGIONAL BUSINESSES. EACH YEAR A LEGISLATIVE AGENDA IS DEVELOPED AND RATIFIED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.


THE ANNUAL DINNER MEETING PROVIDES THE MEMBERSHIP THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE MORE VISIBLE AND BETTER CONNECTED WITH BUSINESS LEADERS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS WHO ATTEND THIS PREMIER EVENT. PAST AND INCOMING BOARD CHAIRS SHARE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE PAST YEAR AND PRESENT PLANS FOR THE NEXT YEAR AND THE FUTURE. THE KANSAS CITIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD IS PRESENTED AS PART OF THE EVENING'S CELEBRATION.
