JUNIOR LEAGUE COLLABORATED WITH 12 ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY SERVICE AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS THROUGH DONE IN A DAY PROJECTS. THE PROJECTS FOCUSED ON WOMEN, CHILDREN AND IMPROVING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION WITH LOCAL NON-PROFITS. PROJECTS THIS YEAR INCLUDED LIFE SKILL EDUCATION CLASSES FOR WOMEN AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM, CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION EDUCATION, INTERVIEW AND WORK FORCE PREPARATION FOR COLLEGE BOUND WOMEN, MEAL ASSISTANCE FOR HOMELESS YOUTH AND ASSISTING TO ENCOURAGE AND HEAL AT-RISK CHILDREN THROUGH THE USE OF THE ARTS.
JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SPRINGFIELD INVESTED 358 VOLUNTEER HOURS BY 145 VOLUNTEERS DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN AND TRAINING OUR VOLUNTEERS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP.
JUNIOR LEAGUE PAID DUES TO THE ASSOCIATION OF JUNIOR LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL (AJLI). THE DUES PAID TO AJLI SERVE TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUAL LEAGUE'S IN THEIR FULFILLMENT OF THE JUNIOR LEAGUE MISSION. THE DUES PAID TO AJLI SUPPORT SPECIFIC INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMMING IN THREE PRIMARY AREAS. THESE INCLUDE: 1. COMMUNITY AND CIVIC LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT; 2.
