THE MISSION OF THE MSACOFP IS TO PRESERVE AND PROMOTE THE DISTINCT PHILOSOPHY AND PRACTICE OF OSTEOPATHIC FAMILY MEDICINE BY ADVANCING QUALITY EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP, AND RESPONSIBLE ADVOCACY.

THE WINTER FAMILY MEDICINE UPDATE IS A SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM PRESENTING A VARIETY OF MEDICAL TOPICS BY PROMINENT PHYSICIANS AND EDUCATORS TO ASSIST THE FAMILY PHYSICIAN AND PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER IN DAILY PRACTICE WHILE FULFILLING THE CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) REQUIREMENTS OF PHYSICIAN ATTENDEES. THE PROGRAM IS INTENDED TO UPDATE THE PHYSICIAN'S CLINICAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE. THE SEMINAR WILL BE ATTENDED PRIMARILY BY OSTEOPATHIC AND ALLOPATHIC FAMILY PHYSICIANS FROM THE STATE AND REGION, PLUS OTHER MEDICAL SPECIALTY AND ALLIED HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS. THE PROGRAM IS OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES. THE SUMMER FAMILY MEDICINE UPDATE IS A ONE DAY SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM PRESENTING A VARIETY OF MEDICAL TOPICS BY PROMINENT PHYSICIANS AND EDUCATORS TO ASSIST THE FAMILY PHYSICIAN AND PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES EIGHT HOURS OF APPROVED CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDITS FOR OSTEOPATHIC AND ALLOPATHIC PHYSICIANS. THE PROGRAM IS INTENDED TO UPDATE THE PHYSICIAN'S CLINICAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, TEACH NEW INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES, AND IMPROVE THEIR ABILITIES IN DAILY PRACTICE. THE SEMINAR IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM OFFERED TO ALL INTERESTED PHYSICIANS NATIONWIDE AS WELL AS OTHER MEDICAL PERSONNEL SUCH AS NURSE PRACTITIONERS OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS.
