BIA-MO SUPPORT SERVICES PROVIDE INFORMATION, ASSISTANCE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AS SURVIVORS OF BRAIN INJURY AND THEIR FAMILIES ADJUST TO LIFE WITH BRAIN INJURY. SUPPORT PROGRAMS INCLUDE INFORMATION & REFERRAL SERVICE, SUPPORT GROUPS AND PRINTED AND ELECTRONIC RESOURCES.
BIA-MO EDUCATIONAL SERVICES STRIVE TO INCREASE AWARENESS ABOUT BRAIN INJURIES, PREVENT BRAIN INJURIES, ENHANCE MANAGEMENT, TREATMENT OPTIONS AND QUALITY OF LIFE WITH BRAIN INJURY AS WELL AS ENABLE SURVIVORS AND FAMILIES TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS ABOUT LIFE WITH BRAIN INJURY. SPECIFIC PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE DONALD DANFORTH JR. WILDERNESS CAMP FOR ADULT-AGED SURVIVORS TO ENJOY A WEEK OF OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WHILE ENJOYING TIME WITH OTHERS AT A FULLY-ACCESSIBLE CAMP FACILITY WITH AIR-CONDITIONED CABINS. ADDITIONAL SOCIAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE HOLIDAY PARTIES, GAME NIGHTS, SPORTS OUTINGS, PICNICS AND MORE. THE BIA-MO DONALD DANFORTH JR. WILDERNESS CAMP IS THE ONLY ORGANIZED, OUTDOOR RESIDENTIAL WEEKLONG CAMP SPECIFICALLY FOR PERSONS WITH BRAIN INJURY. CAMP ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SWIMMING, PADDLE BOARTING, FISHING, ZIP-LINING, ARTS & CRAFTS, GAMES, TALENT SHOW, BINGO, DINNER DANCE AND MORE. ACTIVITIES ARE ADPATED TO THE ABILITIES OF EACH CAMPER.
