JOB POINT'S INTERMEDIATE CARPENTRY TRADE PROGRAM PARTICIPATES IN THE YOUTHBUILD & AMERICORPS PROGRAMS AND RECEIVES FUNDING FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS. HOMES ARE BUILT BY PARTICIPANTS FOR PURCHASE BY THOSE AT OR BELOW 80% OF THE COUNTY MEDIAN INCOME LEVEL, WHICH ADDRESSES THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEFICIT. FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS ARE GIVEN PREFERENCE, AND UP TO 20% OF THE PURCHASE PRICE MAY BE PROVIDED IN DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE.
