THE PROGRAM PROVIDED BY CORTNEYS PLACE SERVES 34 ADULT STUDENTS WITH SEVERE DISABILITIES. THESE AMAZING INDIVIDUALS WILL CONTINUE TO GROW THROUGH EDUCATIONAL, PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE, AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE PROJECTS PROVIDED. MUSIC THERAPY - ON A WEEKLY BASIS, INDIVIDUALS ENJOY LISTENING, SINGING AND PLAYING MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. HYDRO-THERAPY/AQUATIC THERAPY - WEEKLY, THE STUDENTS VISIT A POOL AND WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH A HYDRO-THERAPIST. PET THERAPY - SPECIALLY TRAINED DOGS VISIT THE PROGRAM EACH WEEK TO WORK WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO LIKE TO INTERACT WITH PETS. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - SEVERAL TIMES EACH WEEK PARTICIPANTS TAKE PART IN EXERCISE ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE FITNESS. ART THERAPY - ART IS A SPECIAL WAY TO COMMUNICATE FOR THOSE IN OUR CARE. ART SESSIONS - DEVELOP AN INDIVIDUALS UNIQUE ABILITIES AND ALLOW THEM A WAY TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES.
