ADVOCACY - TO BE A UNITED VOICE FOR FUNERAL PROFESSIONALS IN THE IOWA LEGISLATURE, STATE AGENCIES, IOWA'S CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION, AND WITH OTHER ENTITIES THAT IMPACT THE FUNERAL PROFESSION. THIS IS ACHIEVED VIA THE POWER OF GRASSROOTS INITIATIVES AND BY PROVIDING SUPPORT TO CANDIDATES WHO ARE FAVORABLE TO ISSUES REGARD THE FUNERAL PROFESSION.
EDUCATION - CONDUCT CONTINUING EDUCATION AND EXPANSION OF KONWLEDGE OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY BEING THE PREMIER PROVIDER OF CONTINUING EDUCATION THAT FOSTERS PROFESSIONALISM IN THE PROFESSION, HOSTING AN ANNUAL CONVENTION THAT FEATURES THE PREMIER MIDWEST FUNERAL SERVICE EXPO AND MAXIMIZING TECHNOLOGY TO PROVIDE EDUCATION IN PLACES CONVENIENT FOR FUNERAL PROFESSIONALS.
