Part 3 - Line 4a
CHILD CARE: THE CHILDREN'S CENTER PROVIDED CARE AND/OR PRESCHOOL FOR CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS-12 YEARS. A LARGE PERCENT OF FAMILIES RECEIVED FINANACIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP MEET THEIR CHILDCARE EXPENSES. THE ORGANIZATION WAS A PARTICIPANT IN THE STATE OF IOWA VOLUNTARY FOUR YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL PROGRAM.
PHYSICAL PROGRAMS: INCLUDES THE PHYSICAL FITNESS & EDUCATION PORGRAMS OF THE ORGANIZATION, SUCH AS SWIMMING CLASSES AND FITNESS CLASSES. SOME YOUTH MEMBERSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO WORTHY CHILDREN. SOME FAMILIES RECEIVED FREE OR REDUCED MEMBERSHIP.
EMPOWERMENT CENTER: THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE DIRECT SERVICE AND SUPPORT TO THOSE EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RAPID REHOUSING, HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION, PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING, EMERGENCY SHELTER AND OTHER PROGRAMS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY.
